Registration

Virginia voters must be registered by October 15th to vote in the November election. Voters may still register after that date and fill out a provisional ballot on Election Day. Even if you have registered to vote in the past, it's important to check your registration status before the election to make sure that it has not expired, and to know where your polling place it.

Early Voting

Early voting in Virginia will be available from September 20th until November 2nd. This can be done in-person at the registrar's office in the precinct where you are registered to vote. For those registered in Lynchburg, the local registrar's office, is located at the Kemper Street Station. Randolph will provide some shuttle services to the local registrar's office during the early-voting period.

Mail-In Voting (AKA Absentee Voting)

To vote by mail, you'll first need to apply for an absentee ballot. The deadline to do this in Virginia is October 25th. Mail-in ballots that were postmarked on or before Election Day will be counted if they are received by November 8th.

Election Day

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th. Polls will be open in Virginia between 6am to 7pm. If you are registered at your Randolph address, your polling station is just across the street at Rivermont Presbyterian Church. If you live in the Grosvenor Apartments across Rivermont, your polling station is First Christian Church on Rivermont Avenue, next to Randolph House.
