Is the library open?
While the library staff is working hard to ensure that services are provided to the greatest extent possible, the library is suspending physical access to the building for the campus community and the public. Faculty, staff, and retired members of the Randolph College community may make appointments to pick up materials at the library.
Can I check out materials?
Faculty, staff, and retired members of the Randolph College community may check out materials by following the instructions found here. Students, please contact a librarian for assistance with checking out materials during the fall 2020 semester.
Can I still access the databases?
Yes. Anyone on the campus network can access all of our databases. And all of the databases (with the exception of Factiva) can be accessed off-campus with a Randolph username and password. When you access one of the databases off-campus, you should see the login prompt pictured below. If you encounter an issue with off-campus database access, contact Lisa Broughman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can textbook or reserve materials be digitized and shared with students?
Yes. Please contact us for more information on purchasing digital access to resources or to ask the library to scan portions of existing reserve materials.
Can I order materials through interlibrary loan?
At this time, only digital materials can be ordered through interlibrary loan, such as articles and book chapters that can be scanned.
I am a student and I have books or videos checked out. What do I do?
You should have received an email from us with instructions for returning checked out materials to the Lipscomb Library. If you have not, please contact Lisa Broughman at email@example.com.
Need help finding something? Reference services are available via email or Google Meet. Contact our Research & Instruction Librarian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
