How Do I...?: Kanopy

Off-campus Access for Kanopy Videos

The first time you watch a Kanopy video from off-campus, you will see one of the following two login messages:
On the main Kanopy page:

Or from a persistent link to a video provided by one of your professors:

undefined

You will then be given the following prompt, and should click on the Log In to Randolph College button:

undefined

This will prompt the Randolph College proxy login. Simply log in with the same username and password that you use to access the Randolph College portal

You will also see Log In and Sign Up boxes in the upper right corner of the Kanopy website.  You do not need to create an account with Kanopy to watch videos from the library's collections.  The Kanopy website will save a cookie in your browser's settings so it will remember you for three months.

Troubleshooting Off-campus Access to Kanopy

Logging into Kanopy using the Log In prompt in the upper right corner of the Kanopy website does not always authenticate you as a Randolph College user.  You need to follow the instructions at the top of this screen.

If you are running into problems accessing videos from Kanopy, clear your browser's cache then follow the instructions provided above to log into Kanopy using the same username and password that you use to access the Randolph College portal.
